Some things are so simple, they are genius, right?
I'm not usually one for passing along recipes, because, well, I don't cook, so I barely
KNOW of any recipes.
But this is fabulous! And everyone needs to have it on hand.
Think about a time when you have last minute guests. Someone decides to drop in.
If you have these basic ingredients on hand, a coffee mug, a microwave and about 5 minutes....
you're set to serve your guests a warm, fresh chocolate cake!
So here's how you make the
5 minute chocolate mug cake!
Here's what you'll need:
4 tablespoons of flour
4 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons of oil
3 tablespoons of chocolate chips (optional)
A splash of vanilla extract
A coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract and mix again.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
Don't be alarmed if the cake rises over the top of the mug!
Allow the cake to cool a bit and then turn over onto plate.
Cut in half horizontally, this would make a nice dessert for two.
You could really make this dessert even more fancy by adding fresh berries to the top or a thin layer of icing or whipped cream.
Add some holly leaves for christmas gatherings, etc.
Also... wouldn't this be a super fun activities with children?
Just think... if you keep the items on hand... you're always only FIVE MINUTES away from warm chocolate cake! How dangerous is that???????

Ummm, what are you trying to do to me??? This is ridiculously amazing. What a great idea for a last minute gathering! For goodness sakes, my brain hurts just THINKING about the possibilities here! I love it when we give the reluctant hostesses of the world one less excuse for why they can't call a few friends and invite them over! :)
Great post girlie! LOVE IT
