Valentine's Day is just over a month away and, for those that aren't spouting off stuff about it being an overly commercialized "hallmark holiday", it's time to get to planning!
A recent issue of Southern Lady magazine, they showed a tutorial for "wrapped up roses". A super unique idea which I thought would be perfect for the upcoming holiday.
Here's what you need:
- a tin with a see through lid
- floral WETfoam - the oasis foam that soaks up water
- roses
- ribbon
- scissors and a knife
First, cut floral foam to fit the container. It should be at least a half inch deep and about a half inch from the top of the container. Soak the foam in water overnight.
Next, cut rose stems to about a half inch, depending on the height of the container.
Place in foam to fill and cover, making sure the blooms are inserted low enough to allow for the lid.
Carefully place the lid on the container and tie a ribbon around the container. Adding a gift tag if desired! Voila! Unique gift with a container they can reuse.
Tip: Walmart has fabulous roses in usually a nice variety of colors to choose from ... at a great price!

Wow, that is so cool! Really fun! I'll be linking in my Valentine's Roundup.
