I am really surprised that you can do this at home!

Glad to find you via Twitter.

I love this idea!!! Is this food safe or more a decoration???

chella

It is food safe if you use sharpie. Sharpie's are non-toxic. :)

Hi,

This is a great idea. I'm wondering it the plates can be run through the dishwasher. Not that someone would necessarily eat off it - I'm just curious if it should be cleaned by hand.

Thanks!

Its been my experience that all external fire in the oven paints eventually chip away. Cute idea to do on a piece at the pottery shop though.
