Halloween runs a really close second in my favorite holiday contest. (Christmas, of course, is first.)
I cannot wait until my son really loves Halloween and all that goes with it. There are so many cute and creative ways to go all out for this holiday - even for adults. [Read: you're probably going to see a lot of Halloween ideas in the coming weeks.]
Like this "critter covered platter".
Look closely at the platter. Notice anything... creepy?
Super easy to recreate!
First, buy some plastic "critters". The dollar store is great for this.
Spray paint them all silver. Or, if you want them to stand out maybe something like RED.
The platter above is actually a mirror that was spray painted. You can either do that, or if you don't want to go to that trouble, just get a faux silver tray at a party store. They are cheap, you can hot glue the critters on and you won't feel badly about tossing it after your party.
Start on your Halloween crafts now... it'll be here before you know it. And remember... I'd love to feature your fun parties or decorations!
I actually love this idea. I have to go to about five different halloween parties this year (all potlucks because this is Utah!). So I'm making a couple of these and using it for the treats! I think I'm going to make one using naked barbie dolls (as ZOMBIES). Because, well, I'm nakedjen. Har!
