And how cute are these?

Let's face it, children LOVE balloons! And a balloon drop is easy to do and creates a large impact with children.
The drop above was part of a first birthday party over at Dukes and Duchesses. The how to is easy!
Simply tape up yards of tulle to a wall. This can be from a ledge or a door jam or from a ceiling fan or light fixture. (Use putty or command hooks or some types of painters tape to ensure no damage is done to the walls. Use ornament hooks to hang the tulle from light fixtures.)
Fill it with balloons you've blown up yourself. Remember that no helium is used in a balloon drop. Balloons can be blown up a couple days ahead of time.
Release one or both sides and let the balloons rain down on the little ones! Smiles all around!

CUTE treat for back to school! These are basically Rollos, covered in two colors of scrapbook paper with a Hershey's kiss on the end.
What you'll need:
Cupcake wrappers featuring college logos! Don't forget to color the frosting to match! :)

Cupcake in a jar! Add a nice label and a fork and it's a party in a jar! A nice addition to this would be a wooden fork from Garnish. Isn't it cute?
Perfect for any occasion! Change the color of sprinkles, labels and forks to match the occasion.

Love this LARGE cupcake stand. I love that it's large enough to hold many cupcakes plus the smash cake. It really makes a statement and I love the tulle bottom.
And I love how the colors of the candy aren't separated by color. There has been so many parties lately where the candy is in monochromatic style and separated by color and that's nice too, but sometimes it's fun to have a splash of MANY colors - especially for a child's party.
And my fave detail.... the toothbrushes! Perfect! (Tip: They sell children's toothbrushes in packs of 10 at the dollar store.) A great addition to a candy table! Makes the parents happy and who couldn't use another toothbrush?

These photos were taken from one trip to Goodwill. With this visit, I ran in quickly to find a vase for a floral arrangement ($0.50!) And snapped a couple photos while there. Here's what I found...
This is a sheet. I always look through the sheets. Why? Because sometimes you find some great pattern inspiration there. I love this butterfly pattern. Great for a shower or children's room decor.
You really could cut this sheet up, starch and iron a few small squares and place into gallery frames to use as decor. Or, as usual, it would make a cute backdrop.
If you've been following my blog since last year, you remember I put together a Grinch themed Christmas. (Here is a post featuring last year's preparations including the Grinch tree skirt.)
This year, I'm preparing for a candy cane Christmas. My son loves candy canes so most of the downstairs will be done in this theme. I plan early. Mostly because I create a lot of handmade items for every theme and it takes time to get them all finished.
On this Goodwill trip, I saw this red platter. It's definitely not in the best condition. But hey, it's $0.49!
But... with a new coat of red spray paint and either some white paint or white cricut decals, it may end up looking like a large piece of candy like the one below. Perfect to sit on an easel! Stay tuned for my Christmas preparations!
Something else I ran across was this cute wagon. A perfect centerpiece for a Farm Birthday Party!
I immediately thought I'd grow some wheat grass to cover the inside bottom and create a great centerpiece. Sidenote: look at that cute football player to the right! Hello, football tailgate party! Hand paint the uniform to your school colors and use this guy on top of a cupcake stand.
Next up.... I loved this! Great centerpiece for an Asian inspired dinner.
Then I ran across this. Typically it's a fountain, but I'd use it for the Asian inspired dinner.
It would be a great place to display some colored fortune cookie desserts.

Over a year ago, I posted some ideas for a fun children's paint party. My son, Keaton, loves to paint!
I just happened upon these super cute paint party invitations over at Shorties Funny Farm which would go along fabulously with the ideas I posted some time ago.
First, the paint set invitation. She bought paint sets at Walmart for $1 each and added an insert for the invitation. How cute, easy.. and best of all.. they can USE IT!
