Today is my wedding anniversary! I thought I'd share a couple details from my very own wedding. (Click the photos to see larger versions.)
Seven years ago, I had a wonderful holiday wedding filled with lots of beautiful details. And here are a couple that can be used any time of year.
First, a dramatic way to chill champagne for your guests. This ice sculpture was carved into a large bowl urn shape and held bottles of champagne for our guests. The sculpture had it's own table and it was surrounded by unlimited glasses.
Next to the champagne table is a fully flocked Christmas tree. Our floral designers brought that in as a great way to fill the room and it served a dual purpose as a gift table. Guests placed their gifts under the Christmas tree.
Here, guests are signing the "guest book". I used a silver tray as my guest book and guests used an engraving tool to sign their name onto the tray. Engraving tools can be found at places like Lowes for around $25 or so and they are very easy to use. A very unique touch! And a tray that can be displayed as part of your home for years to come!
If you've had a holiday wedding, I'd love to see photos! Hit the "email me" link and show me your holiday celebration!
Love the engraved tray!

I agree...that silver-tray-as-guest-book idea is great! Also love the fact that a holiday season wedding allows you to use an actual Christmas tree to put the presents under. Happy Anniversary!
