DIY/Tutorial: Easter bunny craft project

A repost of an archive post ...a great craft project, just in time for Easter....

Kim Vallee of At Home with Kim Vallee posted these adorable felt bunnies she was planning on using for her upcoming Easter celebration.  Problem being, a retailer couldn't be found for the bunnies that are produced by Daft.  Kim sent out the call for someone to help create a template and how-to for these simple bunnies.

I was thrilled to jump in and design the template to make these bunnies come to life!

It only takes 2 pieces of craft foam or felt per bunny... plus scissors!  That's it!

On her site, she gives a full tutorial on how to make that fabulous centerpiece out of Dollar Store placemats!  Awesome!  There's still time to create a fun table for the smaller guests!

A letter to yourself

It's not too late to make new year's resolutions!   Or, if resolutions aren't necessarily your thing, how about writing yourself a letter to open next year?  It can include resolutions or things you hope for or just a pep talk.  

If you want something digital, the website Future Me allows you to schedule an email to be sent in the future.  Send one next year, or on your birthday or to your spouse on your anniversary, etc.  

More of a pen and paper person?  Christa at Baca Creative has designed a downloadable stationary that is perfect!

 

 

Easy drink labels

An easy way to label your drinks!  Martha Stewart provides lots of free downloads and templates for these types of details.  It's categorized as an escort card template, but.... print it out, cut them up and add them to cardstock to label items for your guests.

Labels seem obvious?  Think about things like sweet versus unsweet tea.  Do you have diabetic guests?
Or that lemonade up there?  Could easily be a limeade.  Who knows?

{sigh} - lists!

Remember my post where I shared my crazy lists?

So yeah. I'm a listmaker.  What can I say?
I've always been one, really.  In college, I was super involved in campus activities at the University of Kentucky and even then, I had a large calendar/planner where I literally had to write in class times or I'd schedule right over them.  And well, to be honest, some classes did get scheduled over, but in my defense, the jobs I've had since college were all acquired because of the event planning and organization experience I gained outside of the classroom in college. 

Anyway... I digress.

Who said lists have to be ugly, anyway?

I especially love the "one thing today" list.  How many times have you thought "I swear, if I don't get anything else done today I'm definitely going to {insert task here}!"  

Perfect for those of us that thrive on progress and accomplishment.  Do one task, mark it off. done!
