In my last post, I told you about how I spent a few days in July with some wonderful women at an event we called the SmileBooks #METREAT!
For the METREAT, we forced ourselves to make time for girlfriends. We left our everyday lives behind - spouses, kids, work... everything! We spent a few days tuning in and reconnecting with friends that sometimes end up on the back burner, unfortunately.
We had amazing conversations about things like motherhood, politics, education, relationships, life, goals, what the future holds (or doesn't). It was so relaxing to spend time sitting on the beach doing absolutely nothing but watching the water and talking about anything and everything.
Now that we're back, it's time to savor the memories! One of the best ways to capture our trip is through creating a photo book from SmileBooks! And while I didn't take a massive amount of photos like I normally do, mainly because a great deal of the time was spent in water, the photos I did take, are fabulous and really remind me of funny moments like this one....
Ya know those photos that don't mean anything to anyone else but who was THERE? THOSE are the perfect photos for SmileBooks! Books that you create and give to your girlfriends as momentos that, flipping through them, will instantly bring a smile.
So in celebration of those kinds of memories, come join me for a Twitter party on THURSDAY, August 4 at 8pm EST. Use the hash #METREAT. We'll be talking about girlfriends, special occasions, memories and... how to create photo books!
Staff from SmileBooks will be on hand to answer any of your questions about creating books as well as giving away prizes and discounts on books.
Can't wait to get started? SmileBooks is offering a 40% discount on all photo books using the code METREAT40 Go ahead and get started on your book and by Thursday, if you join our Twitter party, you'll be ready to talk books or ask questions.
Join us for a fun filled hour of chat about creating special occasions about of everyday life!
I just realized I'll still be typing next week if I keep talking about the great stuff we've gotten, so I'm going to list it!

The running part is actually a pretty small portion of the book. You wouldn't read it for training tips. In fact, Axelrod took a pretty random, unorganized approach to training. He was out of shape, overweight, drank too much, and hadn't run since high school when he got the bug. He sought advice from relatives and friends, but he didn't follow any specific training program. He increased the distance of his runs mostly based on confidence. He stopped and started his running program numerous times over the year leading up to the marathon. He did virtually nothing besides running different distances at the same pace. No intervals, hills, or tempo runs.

~~~~~~~~~HO!!!With a sandbox, the borders are clearly defined, and the available resource (sand) is a known quantity. You'll probably build the coolest possible sand castle using as much space and sand possible.
